Rancho Park, Los Angeles,  CA

Not just a project site but also a former home, Cushdon exemplifies 10-19 Architecture's approach toward residential development. Here, striking forms enhance (without overwhelming) context, while exacting design and careful attention to detail create simultaneously bold yet warm architectural effect.

Original Condition

With a series of strategically added volumes, this project re-imagines an existing bungalow while leaving much of the original structure (and all of the site trees) intact. Providing 3 bedrooms in a footprint just under 2,000 sf, the house features glass facades, soaring interiors, and open living spaces artfully integrated with the outdoors.  The facade re-uses wood from the existing site fencing.  Other natural materials enrich a minimalist, modern aesthetic.
