Principal

Andy Liu, principal and founder of 10-19 Architecture, grew up first in Taipei and then in Chicago.  He graduated with honors from Brown University and earned his Master in Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.  After Harvard, Andy joined Frank Gehry and Associates, where he rose to Senior Associate and led several high-profile projects (Marques de Riscal Hotel, Hong Kong Opus Tower chief among them) for the internationally-celebrated firm.

In late 2008, Andy started 10-19 Architecture as a single-person office.  Since then, 10-19 Architecture’s portfolio and clientele have steadily grown.  Today, Andy works closely with a staff of architects to ensure that 10-19 Architecture continually produces buildings that capture the imagination and transcend the ordinary.

Andy has been a licensed architect in California since 2002.  He is also accredited LEED, AP by the US Green Building Council.  He resides on the West Side of Los Angeles, where he sometimes coaches girls rec league basketball and volunteers teaching art for LAUSD.
