10755 Cushdon Ave
Rancho Park, Los Angeles, CA
Not just a project site but also a former home, 10755 Cushdon exemplifies 10-19 Architecture's approach toward residential development. Here, striking form enhances (without overwhelming) the context, and exacting attention to detail creates bold (yet warm) architectural effect.
With a series of strategically added volumes, the project transforms and re-imagines the existing bungalow while leaving much of the original structure (and all of the site trees) intact. The facade reclaims wood from the old site fencing. Other natural materials enrich a minimalist, modern aesthetic. Providing 3 bedrooms in a footprint under 2,000 sf, the house features glass facades, soaring interiors, and open living spaces artfully integrated with the outdoors.
