This new 3,700 SF house, nestled in a quiet pocket of Cheviot Hills (LA), is our latest self-built venture.  Here, 5 angled steel-paneled walls stand sentinel-like around 2 tall door openings leading to a top floor deck.  The deck is, in turn, shielded by translucent metal screens placed at deck's edge. Perforated, powder-coated, and individually shaped by hand, the curved aluminum screen panels gift the house an ethereal, ever-changing appearance.  Layered in front of the building like a watercolor veil, the silvery bronze panels shimmer in the light, oscillating in color, transparency, and brightness according to the time, the view angle, and the season at hand.

Inside, a well-honed blend of flowing open spaces, warm natural materials, and bespoke casework make anyone and everyone feel comforted and welcomed.  A fully integrated (and surprising) guest retreat at the bottom level completes the picture of what is achievable in a thoroughly modern yet infinitely livable home.
